Korea's Economic Development Plans |
|
SummaryThis course focuses on economic development plans as the secret of successful economic growth realized in Korea after liberation. To this end, by looking at the process of establishing and implementing the economic development plan, the emergence of the Park Chung-hee administration, the establishment of the Economic Planning Board, the selection of the correct economic development strategy, and the characteristics of the Korean-style development country model are taught. Korea has succeeded in economic growth under the leadership of the government even in rapidly changing political and economic conditions. This contrasts with the unsuccessful cases in which many countries established economic development plans after World War II. Through this course, students will be able to understand the factors that will enable latecomers to succeed in economic growth. |
