Summary
This is an advanced liberal arts course that selects six types of literature that help you understand Korean society, examines the background and significance of writing, and reads the core parts. The types of selected literature range from myths, diaries, travel journals, dictionaries and vocabulary, and novels, but they can be said to contain various aspects of Korean society in common. This course will provide students with an opportunity to deeply understand Korean history and culture, examine changes and characteristics of Korean society firsthand, and understand the intellectual tradition and publishing culture of East Asia.
