This study investigates the construction plan of Hyundai Heavy Industries' Ulsan shipyard. To build the shipyard, Hyundai needed a loan from a foreign bank. The foreign bank required a ship order for the approval of the loan. It means that Hyundai needed to sell a ship before the construction of the shipyard, which looks seemly impossible. However, Hyundai got two ship orders, attained the loan, and then began the construction of shipyard. This paper applies an XOR gate algorithm in multi-layer perceptron to the business plan of Hyundai Heavy Industries. This study highlights Hyundai Construction's comparative advantage in labor management and concentration. The labor-intensive aspect allowed Hyundai to solve the linearly non-separable XOR gate problem, that is, to get the ship order before building the shipyard.
